Several COVID-19 Vaccine Clinics are scheduled to serve the Laveen community this month. Many of these events will provide the Pfizer vaccine for individuals age 12+. Visit our COVID Vaccine Clinic page for schedules and details.
A partnership with Maricopa County Department of Public Health is bringing infant and childhood vaccines to Laveen. Information on this vaccine event can be found here.
Laveen schools are serving free breakfast and lunch to all kids all summer!
Children 18 years and younger may pick up a nutritious breakfast and lunch over the summer break. All kids’ meals are free. There are no income requirements and you do not need to register. Children do not need to be enrolled in a Laveen school to participate. The summer meal program is sponsored by the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
Beginning on June 3, 2021 meals will be distributed curbside on Mondays and Thursdays only. Each distribution will include breakfast and lunch for multiple days. Meals will be served cold with take and bake instructions.
Meals will be served at three school sites from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.

- Desert Meadows School
We will also distribute meals at three bus stops between the hours of 9:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m.

Meals are available to all children under the age of 18. We ask that your children accompany you to pick up meals or that you display the parent pickup placard in your vehicle.

All school and district offices will be open from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday – Thursday during the summer. Offices will be closed on Fridays and observed holidays.
Prospective families can learn more about our schools at our annual Open House event. Each of our schools will host an in-person open house on May 4, 2021. Two separate sessions will be held, at 5:00 p.m. and 5:45 p.m. Families will be provided with an overview of the school and a tour of the campus with special emphasis on the school’s signature program.
