*UPDATE* In order to access the groundbreaking site, you will need to enter off of 51st Ave. The entrance drive to the site was recently covered with large river rock. This is accessible with a truck or SUV. While it is possible, it is not advisable to access using a sedan or small vehicle.
The Laveen School District will be breaking ground on their ninth school, Estrella Foothills Global Academy, on October 25 at 9:00 a.m. The celebration will take place near 55th Avenue and Carver.
The school will open in August 2020 to Grades K-6, adding a grade level each year until it is a K-8 school. It will feature Global Studies as its signature program. Plans include becoming an International Baccalaureate World School and Mandarin Chinese as a foreign language component.
The construction of this school is funded by the Arizona School Facilities Board.
