Students recognized for perfect state assessment scores

Each Spring, all students in Grades 3-8 participate in the statewide academic achievement test. The test, Arizona’s Academic Standards Assessment (AASA), measures a student’s mastery of the standards in two subjects: Math and English Language Arts (Reading and Writing). We had 70 students from across the district achieve perfect scores in either of the tested areas. We also had thousands of students who worked very hard throughout the year and on this assessment and we congratulated them.

At the September Governing Board, we recognized 13 students that have achieved perfect scores in consecutive years. This is an amazing accomplishment that is worth celebrating.

One student, Benton Abegg of Paseo Pointe, received a medallion for earning a perfect score.
