Paseo Pointe Receives Golden Bell Promise Award

Paseo Pointe School is the recipient of the 2021 Golden Bell Promise Award for its Dual Language Spanish Immersion Program.

The prestigious Golden Bell recognizes educational initiatives that have a proven record of achieving excellence. It is awarded annually by the Arizona School Boards Association. The school will be formally recognized at a December statewide conference.

Paseo Pointe is the second Laveen school to receive this award. Laveen Elementary School was honored with the Golden Bell in 2018 for its Mindfulness program.

Laveen to Host Pediatric COVID Vaccine Clinic

Laveen is hosting a pediatric COVID-19 vaccine clinic for children ages 5-11 during Wednesday’s early release day on November 17 at Rogers Ranch School.

Vaccines will be administered from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on a walk-in basis. Parents / guardians must accompany their child.

Rogers Ranch is located at 6735 N. 47th Ave.

Laveen’s Annual Winter Festival is December 3

Each year, the Laveen Elementary School District hosts a Winter Festival for the community. The eighth annual Laveen Winter Festival is scheduled for Friday, December 3, 2021. The event runs from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the David Glasser Athletic Complex, 5001 W. Dobbins.

This year’s Winter Festival will feature obstacle courses (for both big and little kids), games, activities, student performances, photo opportunities, holiday gift vendors, food, and much more!

Admission is free. Tickets will be available for purchase for select activities. Credit cards accepted.

All proceeds benefit the Laveen Education Foundation.
